Police Asking For Help Finding Jewelry Store Robber

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Dallas are asking for help identifying and locating the man who held a clerk at gunpoint and robbed Unique Gold and Diamond over the weekend.

Investigators say the suspect entered the store, in the 13000 block of Preston Road, just before 2:00 p.m. and after looking at several pieces of jewelry held a gun on a store employee and forced the worker into a back room.

The robber then went back into the store and took several items from the display cases.

The gunman is said to be in his mid-20s, standing about 6'0″ and weighing 180 pounds. The man had a goatee and a the time of the robbery was wearing a black skull cap, green and blue denim jacket, faded blue jeans, gray and white tennis shoes, and orange and black designer glasses.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the robbery is asked to call Detective Lacy with the Dallas Police Department at (214) 671-3636. Anyone wanting to give a tip anonymously can do so by calling Crime Stoppers at (214) 373-TIPS (8477).
