Man Dead After Being Hit By Train In Haltom City

HALTOM CITY, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - A man is dead after being hit by a train in Haltom City Wednesday afternoon

The incident happened at around 4:15 p.m. in the 6100 block of Denton Highway near Watauga Road.

Police said the man, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police do not know why he was on the train tracks.

There were no injuries reported inside the Union Pacific train.

Further details have not yet been released as police investigate.
