Cyclist Walking Dog Hit, Killed By Commuter Train In Fort Worth

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Fort Worth Police said a woman on a bicycle was killed after being hit by a Trinity Railway Express train in Northwest Fort Worth around 8:00 p.m. Monday.
Police said it happened at the intersection of Haltom Road and Etsie Street.
Police said the cyclist, Kristina Letney, 35, was walking her dog when she fell on the tracks and was struck by the TRE train.
There was no word on the whereabouts of the dog.
TRE shuttle buses were being used to help commuters who were impacted impacted.
DART tweeted about delays shortly after the deadly incident.
