DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Guacamole could practically be in its own food group in Texas. Everyone has their own secret to make their guacamole recipe their own.
For New York Times Columnist Melissa Clark, that secret is peas.
According to Clark, the peas "add intense sweetness and a chunky texture to the dip, making it more substantial on the chip."
The suggestion has sparked a range of opinions on social media, and even President Obama weighed in on Twitter. The President confessed before this year's Superbowl that he preferred chips and guacamole to wings.
