Authorities say the bus dragged the man about 50 yards before coming to a stop.
Police say it's too early to determine if the driver of the bus faces any charges.
Parkland Health & Hospital System released the following statement.
"We are absolutely devastated by this tragedy," said Fred Cerise, MD, MPH, Parkland's President & CEO. "Our hearts go out to the families and colleagues of both employees. During this incredibly difficult time, I ask you to keep them in your thoughts and prayers, and please respect the privacy of all involved."
