Owners Of Popular Biker Hangouts Say There's "Nothing To Fear"

COLLIN COUNTY (CBS 11 NEWS) - Despite the Twin Peaks shootout in Waco, North Texas restaurant managers said they do not expect any hesitation from people to patronize restaurants that attract bikers.

"Just because they might have a motorcycle, might wear a little leather, doesn't mean there's anything to fear," said Keith Cruse the manager of Grover's Bar and Grill in Frisco.

Cruse said he believes most people realize "Ninety-nine percent of bikers are not criminals."

Grover's Bar and Grill has been a popular hangout for bikers on weekends. The restaurant has also sponsored charity bike rides, such as the Bikers Against Road Rage event last month.

However; Cruse said 95-percent of his business comes from non-bikers.

Cruse said in the three years the Grover's Bar and Grill has been in business, the Frisco restaurant has never had any issues with bikers.

"You don't know who's going to pull up to any restaurant, any bar, any bank, any hotel," he said. "It was truly an isolated incident. I hope that's what people take from it."
