AUSTIN (CBSDFW.COM) – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) says they have captured Robert Charles Willis, one of the 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders in Texas.

Willis, 39, was caught Friday in Bowie County after DPS Criminal Investigators received a tip.

Willis was located in a home in Wake Village, Texas, and was taken by authorities without incident.

In February 2000, Willis was convicted in Miller County (Arkansas) of three counts of sexual abuse for incidents involving three children, ages four and younger.

Willis was wanted in Texas for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. He was also wanted in Arkansas for parole violation.

The DPS says the $5,000 reward will be given to the person that made the tip to authorities.

So far in 2016, DPS and other agencies have arrested 13 Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including eight sex offenders and five gang members, and $23,500 in rewards have been paid for tips that resulted in those arrests.
