One Man Dead Following Maple Ave Robbery

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A man is dead in Dallas' Oak Lawn neighborhood after being shot near a nightclub, after allegedly stealing from a convenience store.
According to Dallas police, a 21-year-old man and his girlfriend allegedly stole lottery tickets from a 7-Eleven store on Wycliffe at Maple Avenue around 1:00 a.m. Wednesday. This was after they got into a fight with the store clerk.
Police say two other men were inside the 7-Eleven at the time and didn't like what they saw, so they chased the man down Maple Avenue.
Sources say the man was later found with gunshot wounds in an alley behind the Kaliente Club. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
Police say the two unidentified men who shot him fled the area. Investigators are still searching for the shooting suspects.
