DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — An on-duty Dallas police officer has been arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated, the department said Sunday.

Officer James Covey, who has been with the Dallas Police Department since January 2008, was arrested around 4 p.m. on Saturday, the department said. The department said Covey was on duty at the time of his arrest.
