COCKRELL HILL (CBSDFW.COM) - Cockrell Hill Police are looking for a man they said ran over an officer during a traffic stop Saturday night in the 4300 block of W. Jefferson Blvd.

Police said the suspect, who initially identified himself as Everardo Benavides-Perez, and is possibly identified as Everardo Robles, 29, handed over a fake Mexican Consulate card.

When Officer Daniel Dominguez opened the man's driver's side door and asked him to step outside of his red 1998 Chevy S-10 pickup, the man drove off.

Police said Officer Dominguez was dragged before being run over by the rear wheels.

He ended up with a broken ankle and bruises but is expected to be okay.

Police said the suspect, wanted for aggravated assault against a public servant, was wearing a white long sleeved dress shirt with embroidery on the sleeves and across the shoulders, possibly indicative of being a member of a mariachi style band.

The license plate number of the pickup is GJH 2165.
