Nurse's Dog Tests Negative For Ebola

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Test results for the small dog owned by the first Dallas nurse to be diagnosed for Ebola show that her pet does not have the virus.
The results for Nina Pham's King Charles Spaniel, Bentley, were reported by the City of Dallas Wednesday morning, after samples were taken from him on Tuesday.
More samples will be collected from Bentley and he will be tested again for Ebola before his 21-day quarantine period ends.

Bentley is being cared for in a partnership between the City of Dallas Animal Services, the Texas Animal Health Commission, Texas A&M University and the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Pham is being cared for at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, where her condition was upgraded Tuesday to good from fair. Pham is getting updates about her dog throughout the testing process.
