FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A woman from Temple was driving down Interstate-35 on her way to Six Flags Over Texas on Saturday when her windshield suddenly fell into her lap.

Fort Worth police say they found a four-inch carriage bolt in the front passenger seat of her car.

Brenda Adams believes the bolt came from the Ripy Street overpass, but officers checked the area and were unable to determine where the metal pin came from.

"All the glass hit me in the face," Adams remembered. "I did have slivers in my neck."

The bride-to-be was in the car with her fiancé and grandchildren the incident happened. The flying glass left her scratched up pretty bad, but she is expected to be okay. None of the children were injured.
