New Email Scam Arrives As A Google Doc Link

(CBSDFW.COM) - A new email phishing scam was unleashed on the world Wednesday.

This one arrives in your inbox as a Google Doc link.

The best way to keep from becoming a victim is to avoid clicking on the link, particularly if you don't know the sender and aren't expecting the document.

However, the links often come from people you know, so it's important to be alert.

If you get such an email, it's best to just delete it.

According to BGR.com, you can also remove permissions for the fake "Google Docs" app from your Google account. In a post on their site today they said you can go to myaccount.google.com, sign-In and click on you "Account Preferences" then click on "Connected Apps." They say to look for a list of connected apps, and "ensure that anything you don't recognize is deleted."
