FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A 6-year-old boy has been taken to the hospital after a near drowning at a Fort Worth YMCA.

First responders were called to the location at 6200 Sand Springs, Wednesday morning. By the time they arrived, CPR had already been performed on the boy.  He was taken to Cook Children's medical with non-life threatening injuries.

CBS 11 has learned the child was attending Camp Carter at the YMCA campus and the near drowning occurred at the camp pool.  Campers also have access to a lake at the 350-acre property.

This is a developing story. CBS 11 News is on the scene and we will have more information as it becomes available.
