TARRANT COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - Six people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Everman, including Everman High School students, according to the school district.
It happened before 2:00 p.m. Thursday on Everman Parkway under the overpass of I-35W.
Three patients were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, one in serious condition and one with non-life threatening injuries. All five victims are teenagers.
Another person did not go to the hospital.
Everman Police Sgt. Craig Spencer said a school resource officer was investigating some activity on campus when a vehicle pulled out "at a high rate of speed and driving erratically."
The officer followed the car from a safe distance, not initiating a chase, but by the time he got to the vehicle, it had already crashed, according to Sgt. Spencer.
The crash is being investigated by the Fort Worth Police Department.
