Multi-Vehicle Crash Kills One Person On I-30 In Arlington

ARLINGTON, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - A 19-year-old man has died after a multi-vehicle crash early Thursday morning on I-30 in Arlington.

It happened before 4:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes near the Green Oaks Boulevard overpass.

Four vehicles were involved in the accident, police said, including two cars, a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

According to police, one of the cars became disabled in the center lane.  The teen driver got out and a chain reaction crash took place.

The victim died on the scene.

The highway was shut down for more than five hours while crews worked to clear the scene, and police did their investigation.

The name of the person killed was not immediately released.
