GRAND PRAIRIE (CBSDFW.COM) - Grand Prairie Police say they're investigating the 11th traffic fatality this year in the city.

Police say a man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle hit a slower moving vehicle in front of it around 9:00 p.m. Friday in the 2400 block of West Pioneer Parkway.

The rider, DeWayne McCraney, 44, of Arlington was thrown from his motorcycle and hit a highway sign.  He died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was not hurt.

Police say speed appears to have been a factor in the crash.
