Mom Disturbed By Alleged Lewd Behavior Of Fort Worth Driver

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 NEWS) - A north Forth Worth mom was driving on North Beach Street, near Tarrant Parkway, with her two-year-old son in his backseat child seat when she noticed the driver of a red Jeep Cherokee behaving strangely.
We are identifying the woman only as 'Pamela' for her protection. "He was driving extremely close to his window, rolling his window down, leaning in front, leaning outside his window just to get a better look at him [her son]," she said.
When Pamela stopped at a red light and backed her car up to see what the man was doing, she says it was clear the man was touching himself sexually while looking at her son. "He was making hand gestures and his arm was shaking a lot, his left arm was," she recalled. "I looked up and he actually moved his rearview mirror to look me dead in the eye. Never flinched."
Pamela says the man followed her as she pulled into a parking lot to dial 911. She thought she was safe when she saw a parked police car outside of Walmart. "But to my surprise there was nobody in the cop car. So I had to keep driving. At that point he turned back around and through the parking lane to continue to follow me."
Eventually the man drove away, but Pamela doesn't believe it was because he feared any repercussions. "I saw his facial expression," she said. "He was never worried. Never rushed. Nothing at all. He got pleasure making me cry hysterically and worry in my face."
Police say they're investigating the incident, but told Pamela there was little they could do since she didn't directly witness the act. Their words have done little to calm the mother's fears. "I had to leave work today because I didn't know how he picked us, how he knew where my son was sitting or even that I had a son."
