DESOTO (CBSDFW.COM) - A DeSoto teenage boy reported missing on Sunday has been found dead.

DeSoto Police say Damien Blade, was last seen May 24, around 4 pm, with two dogs. Damien was known to explore culverts and storm drains, according to police. After one of the dogs returned home wet and extremely muddy, police were notified and officers searched unsuccessfully for Damien throughout the night.

Monday morning, with the assistance of the K-9 search and rescue team, Damien's body was located inside a storm drain in the 800 block of Terrace Drive. His second dog was also found deceased.

Police believe Damien drowned, but continue to investigate.

"It's heartbreaking. It's just heartbreaking," said Rhonda Howard, Damien's neighbor. Police woke Howard and her husband overnight as they went door to door looking for Damien.

"So after police told us Damien was missing I posted on Next Door to keep an eye out for him and he was last seen with his two dogs," said Howard.

"We're devastated," said neighbor Martin Ellis. "We're devastated. Can't imagine what the parents must be going through right now."
