OXNARD, Calif. (CBSDFW.COM) - The Cowboys and incumbent sack leader Jeremy Mincey have spend the off-season working on a contract extension. But it's not done -- so Mincey is not yet here with the team to start training camp.

Mincey, 31, signed a two-year deal worth $3 million in 2014 that included $2 million guaranteed. The Cowboys have added a trio of ends -- Greg Hardy, DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory -- that might eventually push him down the depth chart. But his six sacks led the team last year and he is a team leader in the locker room as well.

If Mincey does not report to camp by Wednesday, he could face daily fines (based on his signing bonus) of $30,000. That -- and progress in negotiations -- could compel him to rejoin the Cowboys who, according to 105.3 The Fan calculations, presently have about $11.9 million in cap room.
