Middle School Football Game Cancelled After Shots Heard Nearby

WATAUGA (CBSDFW) - Rattled football fans left a Watauga Middle School football game early after gunfire was heard in the neighborhood near the school.

According to reports, hundreds of people were watching a middle school football game when gunshots erupted in the third quarter.

Administrators canceled the rest of the game and sent everyone home.

Police were called and scoured the surrounding area but had no luck finding the shooter.  No one was hit by the gunfire.
