Mesquite ISD Fires Teacher's Aide Arrested For Child Sexual Assault

UPDATED | September 2, 2016 2:30 PM | The Mesquite ISD teacher's aide arrested for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a child was terminated from Tisinger Elementary.

MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) - A Mesquite ISD teacher's aide confessed to numerous sexual encounters with an 11-year-old boy after police arrested her today.

Jessica-Jewel Corin Benton, 26, of Mesquite, is accused of sexually assaulting the child last Friday at a private residence.

When investigators interviewed Benton, she said the abuse has gone on for months.

She was placed under arrest for Aggravated Sexual Assault, which is a 1st degree felony.

Benton works at Tisinger Elementary. The victim attends another school in the district. At this time there isn't any indication that any of the offenses occurred on MISD property and there is no indication that there are other victims, according to police.
