Memorial Service Planned For SMU Officer

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A memorial service is planned for Thursday, July 28 for SMU police officer Mark McCullers.

McCullers was swept away in Turtle Creek during flooding on July 5. His body has not been recovered.

The memorial takes place at 11:00 a.m. next Thursday at McFarlin Auditorium on the SMU campus at 6405 Boaz Lane.

The service will conclude with a 21-gun salute.

Parking is available on Bishop Boulevard  and in parking lots and centers labeled All University Parking.

McCullers was working off-duty as a private security guard at a construction site when he ran into trouble.
