DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- The Dallas Mavericks have signed veteran free agent center JaVale McGee, the team announced on Thursday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, per team policy.

McGee appeared in 23 games last season with Denver and Philadelphia, averaging 4.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 11.1 minutes per game.

Over his seven-year career, he carries averages of 8.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 19.9 minutes per game (382 games).

After missing out on DeAndre Jordan in free agency, the Mavs have now acquired three centers: Salah Mejri, Samuel Dalembert, and Zaza Pachulia, who was acquired from Milwaukee for a future second-round pick.
