Mavs Sign Bernard James For Remainder Of Season

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- After playing under two 10-day contracts, the Dallas Mavericks have signed center Bernard James for the remainder of the season.

James was signed to the first of two 10-day contracts on Feb. 11.

Since joining Dallas, the 6-10 center has averaged 4.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 17.5 minutes in five games (two starts). He has started in two of the team's previous three games with Tyson Chandler out with injury.

The Mavs roster is currently at 15 players.
