Masters Champ Spieth Appears On Letterman

CBSDFW.COM -- Fresh off his win at The Masters, Dallas native Jordan Spieth appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman on Monday.

The 21-year-old talked about getting to 19 under, a record at Augusta -- was that even legal?

"It was cool," said Spieth. "At that point, to be honest, I didn't know what I was at. I wasn't looking at leaderboards, I was just trying to challenge myself on each hole and get another stroke."

Spieth also discussed the nerves behind becoming the first wire-to-wire winner at the Masters since 1976.

With the win -- his third on the PGA Tour -- the Dallas Jesuit graduate will rise to No. 2 in the world, trailing only Rory McIlroy.
