INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Marcus Mariota made his case to be the No. 1 pick in April's draft with a sequence of quiet, thoughtful answers Thursday.

Jameis Winston, the 2013 Heisman winner from Florida State, must wait another day.

After strolling slowly to the podium, the 2014 Heisman Trophy winner from Oregon calmly took questions for about 15 minutes and raised no red flags.

Winston, the 2013 Heisman winner from Florida State, was scheduled to speak Thursday, too. But his appearance has been delayed because of the medical exams that take place before the interviews.

Mariota says the biggest difference between the spread offense he ran with the Ducks and a pro-style offense, which he is likely to run in the NFL, will be calling plays in the huddle.
