Man Mistaken For Ride-Share Driver Found Guilty Of Murder

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A Dallas County Jury today convicted 45-year old Donaldo Velasquez of murder for the July 31, 2016 stabbing death of 34-year-old Arnold Pinilla of Garland.

Mr. Pinilla was stabbed to death in the 1000 block of Myers Street in Carrollton after he and his girlfriend accepted a ride from The Colony man who allowed them to believe he was their "Lyft" driver.

The sentencing phase begins Tuesday in Dallas County Criminal Court District 2.
