Man Indicted In Random Eye Gouge Attack Last November

COLLIN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - A Collin County grand jury has indicted Shawne Forrest for a random eye gouging attack that left man blind in one eye in November 2015.
Forrest is charged with aggravated assault.
"From the eye to the brain 'handicapped man' I'm going to kill you," were the words victim Landi Dyess said a mad man kept saying after slamming him on the ground and plunging his fingers into his eye. "He went through the eyeball I can't describe to you the pain -- the fear, the nausea -- everything was so unbelievably surreal," said Dyess days after the attack last November.
The attack happened after Dyess parked his white van outside his apartment off Preston and Frankford in Dallas.
Dyess stabbed Forrest in self defense.
