KELLER (CBSDFW.COM) - A man who stole eight signs Thursday morning for local Democratic and Republican candidates has turned himself into the Keller Police Department.

Walter Howard Brown, 59, was arrested after admitting he stole the signs from Keller Town Hall.

"He took signs belonging to more than one person, all for local elections representing both Republican and Democratic parties," said Keller Support Services Commander, Capt. Thomas Simmons.

Officers noticed the signs in the front passenger seat of Brown's truck at the station parking lot.

Brown was charged with Theft under $100, a Class "C" Misdemeanor.

He has since posted bond and was released from the Keller Regional Detention Facility.
