MADD
MADD is launching its 'Power or Parents' campaign, designed to help parents feel more confident about talking with their children about the dangers of underage drinking and why they should never ride with a drinking driver.
Research shows that children who start drinking young are seven times more likely to be in an alcohol-related crash. What's more, adolescent drinkers perform worse in school; are more likely to fall behind; and have an increased risk of social problems, depression, suicidal thoughts and violence.
Parents of middle school and high school students can download 'Power of Parents' handbooks (for free) and sign up for a free 15-minute online workshop in English or Spanish.
