DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM)- Linked by DNA evidence, a 16-year-old has been arrested in the beating of a 52-year-old woman last September at a south Dallas park.

The unidentified teenager was caught in Brazos County and has been transferred to Dallas's juvenile facility where he'll face an aggravated assault charge.

On September 3, 2014, police found the woman naked and severely beaten at Opportunity Park near Malcolm X Boulevard and Pine Street.  According to police, the woman was seen walking in the area prior to the attack.

For nearly seven months many neighbors said they've stayed away from Opportunity Park.

Rose Crouch's backyard faces the park and yet she has returned to the park since the attack.

She even considered moving.

"I wanted to move and I've been over here eleven years," Crouch said.

Saturday's news of the arrest of the 16-year-old suspect has eased some of Crouch's concerns.

She said, "Trouble is everywhere but I do now feel some relief."

She said she might even consider going for a walk at the park out her backyard.
