A Dallas area organization that's transforming the lives of people with disabilities gathered for its annual gala on Thursday night.

The LEAP Gala is LEAP Global Mission's biggest annual fundraiser.

It was held at the Dallas Country Club with CBS News Texas' JD Miles serving as emcee and Cowboys broadcaster Babe Laufenberg delivering the keynote address.

The event raises funds to support LEAP and its faith-based mission to provide free surgical care to children in impoverished regions around the world.

Since 1991, LEAP has traveled outside of the US on more than 200 mission trips and provided more than 11,000 medical procedures at no cost to the patients.

This year's LEAP gala included an auction and raised a total of over $430,000 to pay for future mission trips.
