Tonight's Dallas Arboretum Cool Thursdays features Satisfaction…an International Rolling Stones Tribute Thursday October 8. The arboretum is also offering discounts for the Red River Shoot Out Week. Today and tomorrow, (8-9) wear Texas or OU gear and receive $5 off general admission.

Autumn at the Arboretum and the Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden has a ton of fun stuff to do like fall-themed, hands-on activities and labs for the kids…activities in addition to the festival's nationally acclaimed Pumpkin Village and surrounding displays throughout the 66-acre garden. Monarch Madness Weeks celebrates the monarch butterfly's annual 3,000 mile journey to Mexico via Texas during the first weeks of October. Specially planted salvia, butterfly bush, lantana and Gregg's mist flower attract them to the Arboretum. There is also the Colorful Canopy Lab, The Dallas Opera's Bastien and Bastienne…the Halloween Monster Molecule Mist Lab…and Sticker Treating (A twist on trick-or-treating, children are invited to discover the spooky side of nature by wearing their costumes to the Children's Adventure Garden to receive stickers. ) For a complete list of Children's Adventure Garden activities and times, visit the activities page.

Cutting Edge Haunted House 2015 in Fort Worth runs through November .Cutting Edge is located just south of 1-30 in Ft Worth across the interstate from downtown… located in an abandoned meat packing plant built in 1908.

Dark Hour Haunted House 2015 in Plano runs through October 31.  Carefully crafted in 47,000 square feet which once housed a major sporting goods retailer, Dark Hour provides over 30,000 sq. feet of terror to be explored by willing guests.

Fearaphobia in Bridgeport is open through October 31.

The Dark Path Haunt Goatmans Bridge haunted event in Denton runs through October 31. They say this deal is located in the REAL haunted woods adjacent to the legendary "Goatman's Bridge" in Denton, TX.

Thrillvania 2015 runs through October 31 at Thrillvania Thrill Park. According to legend, Verdun Manor was the home of a werewolf, Baron Michael Verdun, and his vampire wife, Lady Cassandra. Herein lies the dark and twisted tale that led to the haunting of Verdun Manor and the nearly 50 acres surrounding it.

Bonnie and Clyde Days Pilot Point Town Square is Saturday October 10. Pilot Point, Texas, was the location of the filming of the famous "bank robbery scene" in the 1968 movie "Bonnie and Clyde" starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. Pilot Point (and neighboring towns and counties) was actually the stomping-grounds of Bonnie and Clyde.
