Cool Thursdays at the Dallas Arboretum is this evening (May 19). The musical guest is Bruce Springsteen tribute "Bruce in the USA".
Check out "Wicked" at Music Hall at Fair Park now through Sunday (May 22). WICKED is the untold story of the witches of Oz. Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED tells the story of how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
St. Rita Catholic Church on Inwood Road is hosting a free concert Saturday May 21 at 8pm about the life of St. Rita. The concert will be the world premiere of an orchestral & choral work commissioned by St. Rita Catholic Church. The piece, titled "A Rose in Winter" chronicles the life of St. Rita of Cascia. The performance will include soloists from the Metropolitan Opera and Santa Fe Opera as well as local musicians and the St. Rita Choir.
Women's Leadership Live is happening today through Sunday at the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Los Colinas. (May 19-22).
Tomorrow night (May 20) at Gexa, it is Journey along with the Doobie Brothers.
The 32nd Annual Main Street Festival is happening in Grapevine this weekend (May 20-22). They'll have plenty of food, wine and music including The Romantics Saturday night.
The 24th Annual Wildflower Arts and Music Festival is this weekend in Richardson at Galatyn Park. (May 20-22). Authors Live Sunday night May 22 at Highland Park United Methodist Church features Buzz Aldrin.
