Fresh baked cookies will put a big smile on anyone's face, but the award winning Kookie Haven in Mesquite does more than that for the three sisters that own it.
Kim Haynes, Nita Briggs & Darla McQuen have reinvented the cookie business that their mom had when she passed away about 10 years ago.
"We had a shop about fourteen years ago. Our mom always baked cookies and they called her Mrs. Cookie, that's where our name came from" said co-owner Nita Briggs of Kookie Haven.
About a year ago the three sister reopened the business as Kookie Haven and it has been the smell of sweet success ever since.
"We won 'Best Business Of The Year' after we had been here four and a half months for our cupcake category. We really are the best cupcake company in the world, they just don't know it yet" Nita added.
