When you drive into the city park you can't miss the giant clear bubbles sitting on the field like Glenda the good witch  from the Wizard of Oz just landed.   That's how you know you have found the coolest new sport in North Texas called Knockerball.

This franchise started when two North Texans got tired of the corporate world and literally prayed for a new career direction.  Austin Valente and Garrett Evans are members at the Gateway Church in Southlake.

"We were doing this challenge where you pray every day together just for five minutes or so , just for accountability" said Garrett Evans of Knockerball North Texas.

The prayer would eventually lead these men to open their own Knockerball North Texas franchise.

Knockerball consists of teams of folks inside giant plastic balls, running into each other as they play a crazy fun game of soccer.

"Most of our events are corporate events.  That's the most fulfilling thing, just seeing a guy in a suit and tie all day, running around screaming kind of like a little kid again" exclaimed Austin Valente of Knockball North Texas.

Teams are made up of all ages, sizes even gender to take to the open field for this fun contact sport.

"It doesn't matter who you are, we had a couple girls out there and a couple of kids.  I got knocked down by the little one a second ago and I'm 6' 2" and 220" said Terrell Smith.
