Keller Woman Withdraws Guilty Plea For Husband's Murder

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A judge threw out guilty pleas today from a Keller woman in connection with her husband's death.

On the witness stand Monday, Michele Williams told the court she was not guilty of the deadly conduct charge she agreed to in October, and that she wanted a jury.

It's another twist in a story that started in October 2011 with Williams saying an intruder had killed her husband Gregory Williams. She later told police she staged a break-in and he had committed suicide. Williams then admitted to knowingly firing a gun that killed her husband, then staging the scene.

As part of the plea deal, the 44-year-old faced 18 years in prison for tampering with evidence, and two years for deadly conduct.

Prosecutors will now set the case for a trial.
