Jane Lynch Announced As Host Of 'People's Choice Awards 2016'

Today CBS and People’s Choice Awards announced that multiple award-winning actress Jane Lynch will host "People’s Choice Awards 2016." Lynch is known for her role as Sue Sylvester on “Glee,” which earned her both an Emmy and Golden Globe Award.

This will not be Lynch’s first time serving as host as she previously entertained the crowd for “The 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.”

Lynch will star in the upcoming CBS comedy “Angel From Hell,” where she will portray the “guardian angel”. The series is scheduled to premiere in February 2016.

“As a people myself, I'm thrilled to take on hosting duties of the only awards show that celebrates the choice of the people!” Lynch said. She is a four-time "People’s Choice Award" nominee and won Favorite TV Comedy Actress in 2011.

The final nominees across 65 categories for People’s Choice Awards 2016 will be announced on November 3, 1015. Last year “The Big Bang Theory” won the award for Favorite TV Show.

"The People's Choice Awards 2016" will take place at the Microsoft Theater on January, 6, 2016 at 9 p.m.
