Inmate Escapes From Dallas County Jail

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A prisoner has escaped from the Lew Sterrett Justice Center tonight just outside of downtown Dallas.

Dallas County sheriff's are searching for Edgar Jaquez-Moreno, 24, in the area behind the jail near the Trinity River bottoms. He may have escaped from the jail's loading deck area.

Jaquez-Moreno was booked into the Dallas County Jail three days ago on charges of burglary of a vehicle, unauthorized use of a vehicle and giving false information.

His bond is $2,000.
