'I Can Still Shine' Women's Event

KRLD -- A very special support group of ladies will be meeting this weekend. "I Can Still Shine" was created to help women and their children escape abusive relationships.

"We settle for less than what God wants us to have," said Brenda Jackson. Brenda created "I Can Still Shine" after getting out of an abusive marriage herself.

It is more than just support, however. "We do their hair, their nails, their makeup, and serve them a hot lunch," Brenda continued.
