GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) — Police are investigating a wrong-way crash that closed I-635 north Saturday afternoon.

Garland police say the crash happened when a BMW drove southbound in the northbound lanes on I-635 between Centerville Road and La Prada Drive. The BMW hit a Toyota SUV, which then flipped and hit a Ford F-150. Two men, the drivers of the BMW and of the Toyota, have been hospitalized in serious-but-stable condition, according to police.

Everyone in the Ford was OK, police say. The pickup truck has minor damage.

I-635 north was closed for hours as police cleared the scene.

No identities have been released yet.

Police say preliminarily, investigators do not believe alcohol contributed to the crash, but the incident remains under investigation.
