HOUSTON (AP) – A 14-year-old boy has been charged in the fatal shooting of his grandparents at the Houston-area home where they all lived. The Chambers County Sheriff's Office says the boy is being held on two counts of capital murder.

Sheriff Brian Hawthorne says the bodies were discovered Tuesday after the boy failed to show up for school and his grandparents couldn't be reached.

The name of the minor hasn't been released. The sheriff's office didn't immediately release a possible motive.

Investigators didn't immediately say whether they'll seek to try the juvenile as an adult in the killings in Beach City, which is 30 miles east of Houston.
