Hot and Getting Hotter
To put into perspective the weather of late look how the year was going before June started.
Yes, the fewest number of days 85° or higher at DFW EVER. Then suddenly we change calendars and we changed weather. Our first 90° day of the year didn't happen until last Wednesday, one of later starts on record. Since then that's all we've been getting:
And other a VERY wet May and decent rains before that in April we are now in the longest dry streak since last March. Not a drop of rain yet in June:
The high pressure ridge sitting overhead is keeping the storms to the north of us. It's been a while since we had a calm weekend:
A very strong low pressure system to the west will push the ridge down to our south and put us in the storm track my mid-week:
The rain chances are modest but they linger:
The extended shows that the additional cloud cover will knock the temperatures down just a little:
