Homicide Suspect Confessed To Dallas Police

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A man police suspected of killing a 78-year-old man turned himself in on Monday, August 8.

Police say Dustin Smith, 21, voluntarily came to police headquarters and confessed to killing Charles Solomon.

Solomon's body was found shortly after 9 p.m. on July 31 in a wooded area at 7400 Schepps Pkwy. 

Police have not released any information on a possible motive or if the pair knew each other.

Smith is currently in the Dallas County jail for Capital Murder on $500,000 bond.
