High School 'Space Cowboys' Launch Probe 120k Feet Into Space

ELDORADO, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - They've become known as 'The League of Extraordinary Space Cowboys'. Three students at Eldorado High School out in west Texas have launched a balloon into space - and did it all live, online.

Eldorado students Michael Bilbrey, Reed Hartman and Tres Whitten spoke with 1080 KRLD about their experiment.

 

This video below shows the Eagle II space probe pass the 120,000 feet point, and then begin its re-entry into the earth's atmosphere.
