SULPHUR SPRINGS (CBSDFW.COM) — Fans are in a tizzy over the brand new release of E.L. James' fourth novel, 'Grey'.

The British author, whose novels have sold well over 70 million copies worldwide, stopped by the small city of Sulphur Springs this weekend after a surprise announcement of her appearance.

Not surprisingly, tickets for the event at the independent book store Bookworm Box were sold out within a day; popularity aside, book signings are rare for James.

James, who in 2012 was named by Time as one of 'The World's 100 Most Influential People', chatted with fans, took pictures, and signed books Saturday in the town just over an hour east of Dallas.

Most likely you were not there to meet and greet the 'Fifty Shades' author -- In case you weren't, check out this rare meet-and-greet in the video above.
