Tamales are what brought Steve Barker to Grapevine about 6 years ago, but his passion for them goes way back.

"I started selling tamales out of an old truck I had in Decatur, Texas" said Steve Barker.

When it came time to give his new enterprise a name, he had to think what would be catchy.

"I knew Steve tamale just did have the right ring" Steve added.

So Tommy Tamale was born in Decatur and a few years later moved to the Grapevine Farmers Market.  The stage was set for Tommy Tamale to take off.

"We literally see people from all over the world come through Grapevine with an international airport" Steve noted.

Tommy Tamale has a fresh market side to buy bulk tamales, salsa and chips.  Then there is the cafe side to eat there with your family and friends.

"What better way to enjoy people than to sit around have a table with food on it and have a good experience, and that's what we really try to deliver here at Tommy Tamale" Steve added.
