City of Granbury says water main break repaired, usage may return to normal

Crews are repairing a water main break in Granbury

A water main break that prompted the city of Granbury to issue a disaster declaration has been repaired and all water usage may return to normal.

The water main break was located underneath US Highway Business 377 near the Brazos River Bridge, according to the city. Parts to repair the break were brought in from all over the state, making it more complex than expected.

During the disaster declaration, the city said that water is safe to drink, but the declaration was issued in order to protect the public water system and ensure conservation.
