Gov. Perry Fires Back At Donald Trump On Social Media

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Looks like the social media feud between Donald Trump and former Texas Governor Rick Perry has no signs of slowing down.

On July 5, Trump tweeted, "Rick Perry failed at the border. Now he is critical of me. He needs a new pair of glasses to see the crimes committed by illegal immigrants."

Three days later, Gov. Perry posted a video response on YouTube, saying Trump may need to borrow his glasses and touting the steps he took to secure the Texas border with Mexico.

"Under my leadership, Texas dedicated nearly a billion dollars to border security efforts, including surge operations and Texas Ranger recon teams," says Perry in the 3 minute video.

Perry also criticizes Trump's comments about Mexican immigrants and invites him to visit Texas to meet "some of the Hispanic Americans who help make our nation great."

Will Trump respond?  We will see.
